Power window switches / lighting

Aloha, been searching forums for info, great info.Have had the truck less than a year. I wonder if anyone has any ideas for these anomalies:
Aftermarket kit RH Pass window was inop, found switch at fault. Ordered a new kit and wired it in, replacing both switches & most of existing wiring. Remaining wires (to motors, and power from aux relay were tested (including shake test)and found to be OK). When installation was complete, switches illuminated, windows inop. Removing red/blue wires and motors OK, but no illum switches, AND center console lights shifter, AC, CD dash switches inop.
AND RH motor overtravels up( is there an adjustment for this?)
My first forum entry, sorry to be wordy...
