they are the four chip superflux leds so they had to be wired in parallel, i did this by making the harness' for the + and - coming from the switch. This is also good cause if one goes out then it won't take out all of them. If you do it this way then you can also add on more later using t taps. This is how i am going to wire up two other white flexible led strips, one in the glove compartment (for late night ipod switching for the HU) and one 4.7 in one to fit in the center console. Oznium 3 week wait though:tumbleweed:

oh ok, thats how I did mine.

turned out great, I used two lights in the cup holder, one on each side.

right now its set up to turn on with the ignition, i ordered a switch from oznium and ill set that up once it gets here

Dude that looks sick, what size led did you use for this? I thought of doing it that way but i thought it would impede on some of the larger bottles(gatorade) that i put in there.

Im not really sure what size they were. but they came with a little black clip thing. I drilled a small hole in the holder and made it just barley big enough to squeez it through, crazy glued it in place to make sure it stays, then put the lights in, and crazy glued the back of them as well, they barley poke out into the holder, not enough to get in the way of anything.

Not sure how I missed it either this long. I've been toying with the idea of doing a mod like this since I had a Ford Fusion as a rental back in November 2008 when I was traveling on business. It had these LED's in the footwells from the factory with a switch next to the shifter on the console that would alternate them between 5 different colors, then off. I might actually get the nerve to do it now. Nice job, and Thx dude.:D

I siliconed the led into the cup holder for this very reason... i haven't had any spills yet but i tested it already with water and it was tight. O and about the pink haha we might be able to find something you enjoy:cool:

Ok you kinda confused me, but what i think you want is maybe wiring to the dome light to get what you want from the footwells and for the cup holders you would have to find some constant power like an add a fuse or going from the shifter led like Briangp has done here:http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/35282-writeup-pictures-led-cupholder-mod.html. Hope this helps if you need to know anything eles there are some pretty good threads that have documented this just check my first post.

so i switched out my dome and map lights for LEDs and also added a flexible white LED strip to the ridge in the back of the center console so i do not have to turn on the dome anymore to find my junk in the console... it all works great. i hope to take some pictures tonight after Sommelier school.

for the person that wanted the lights to grow...you probably wont achieve the desired effect with the leds b/c the have a lower voltage cutoff and cut on...soo more the likely there will be a slight delay and then they will just come on ....been my experience...

on the oznium website it says the the superchip leds are waterproof...for the people worried about spills.
