Looking to swap out my halos for a set of color shifting ones.
Found this set on ebay, they've sold about 25+ sets and has 99% feedback overall. Scrolled through and saw a couple feedback left about the halos and said they worked fine with no problem.

Just wondering if anyone has tried these and if you think it's worth a try?

    Can't go wrong for $32.

My plan is to mount them behind my Gatling Gun 1.0 shroud, so they're 100mm. Think it will look badass!

Let me know what you guys think!

Besides them being ricey, do you see anything that would be wrong with running them?

yup, just more reason for the real dudes with flashing lights to pull you over, I can think of several reasons not to do this, besides the colors thing, think of the distraction to other drivers...methinks you should reconsider...

but hey, it is your decision...if you do get them, report back after a month or so regarding the possible LEO intervention..

As stated above, will not run illegal colors (red/blue) on the road due to illegality issues. The other colors will blend in just as the amber/white halos we all run now.
No reason for the police to ticket as long as red/blue or flashing aren't on.

Most all states are starting to crack down on ANY color other than red for the rear, and amber in the front. They would work, and they use the 5050 SMD LEDs, which are the best ones, but you still would run the risk of a ticket.

That's the answer I've been looking for, not worried about the chance of a ticket. Buddy of mine runs some for years and had no problems.
    Thanks bama

stop and think about this for a second or three...it may not be the colors that do you in, but the changing of the colors that will bring unneeded attention..it would be a distraction to other drivers...anything I can do NOT to bring a LEO's attention to me the better I feel..you will learn this as you age a bit, LOL...

like I said, report back on the Leo's after a month or so...

Wouldn't run them flashing or strobe while on the road, just as the red and blue won't be used on the road. They would be a solid color.

You have to do what you want to do. It's your truck. If you want to run green lights why not?

That said I can see why everyone is arguing the LEO point. It's going to be difficult if not impossible to avoid a ticket I think

It would however be awesome for an offroad strobe adventure :anonymous:

Don't gotta bash the guy for wanting to mod his truck, if that were the case we'd all get shit. Illegal or not I'm sure he knows the ramifications of installing the rings, I say go for it and make it yours.
