light condensation

put on my hids the other day...washed my truck for the first time since then and got condensation in my lights...what do i do?!?

 

There have been a couple different methods discussed.

I too have HIDs in my aftermarket projector housings. I had to deal with condensation, and still might in the future.

You can:

1. Be patient and let them dry out naturally.

2. Pull them back out of the truck, and put them in the oven to dry them out.(Never done it)

3. Use some condensation reducing materials to dry it out.

4. Drill two small holes in the bottom of the clear lens area, which will speed up the drying process, then seal them back up with silicone when it's dry.


After you have done one of these and it is dry, seal the rubber grommet that you cut with some silicone, and any other areas that you think would break the seal.

 

None of those have anything to do with his situation.

To the OP, did you reused the rubber boots around the bulbs? If you did, how much bigger did you make the holes?
