I'm finally getting around to getting the overhead bar mounted. I cut out the brackets last night and did some test fitting. I'm painting now and should have it mounted in the next few days. I'm going solid on this set, I don't feel like doing the pretty cut-outs. If they make a bunch of wind noise I'll reconsider that but being I don't drive this truck at 100mph it probably won't be an issue.

I'm using about a 40" light bar but the brackets should accommodate other widths depending on the amount of offset you do your bends. This is one of the really rare occasions that having a plasma cutter is actually a benefit.

That's a lie, plasma is awesome for everything  IIRC I'm using 18ga for the steel, should be stout enough and not have clearance problems with the door.

It takes a total of 3 bends. 1 for the angle of the door channel/roof and 2 to adjust for width. Having a torch, vice and hammer takes care of it in about 10 minutes.

I'll be using 3 self tappers per side followed with some silicone to seal. I'll update once its fully mounted.
