So I posted earlier but I realized it wasn't the right description of the lights or the situation.

When I turn my headlights on, nothing insude the truck has the backlit lighting to be able to see it at night. The head unit is lit but in "daytime" mode, none of the button lights are on. Same with the AC cluster, no back lights. And all my off road switches don't have any back light. So at night, I have a really bright screen and can't see any buttons

Along with the back lights not coming on, when DRL are on, only the turn signal light stays on, the outside smaller light doesn't come on. Then when my headlights are on, neither the turn signal DRL or the smaller light comes on, so I have no amber lights out front, all that comes on are the headlights and fog lights.

The hazard lights work when turned on, the turn signals work, but otherwise nothing.

The cork in the situation is that when I use my viper alarm to start the truck and it has the headlights on, all the lights work normally. Interior back lights come on, the DRL come on with the headlights, and the small lights come on.

Has anyone heard of this, or know what may be going wrong?

Sounds like something wasn't wired up correctly. Did this all start happening when the viper alarm was installed?

No I've had my vioer alarm for a few months, and had it on my old truck no issues. It all happened a couple days ago when I was trying to figure how to wire a small LED strip into my DRL, but I tapped 1 wire and everything worked, no fuses blew, nothing. Then all of a sudden when I went to add the second strip it all went to s***

How did you tap the wires? Cut & solder in a splice or quick splice?

One of the quick splices... You think the splice has disconnected and shorted the circuit?

Thats either a fuse or that quick tap which tend to break the wire.

No blown fuse, no shorted wire

Everything works when I use the viper to start which means the circuit is closed.

    Completely confused

I am having this problem on my truck, 2013 TRD. Were you ever able to find a solution? I installed new headlights and everything worked great and I tried to install LED turn signals and it shorted out so I replaced the fuse and everything seemed fine and now my DLR and interior back lights do not come on with headlights. Please let me know if you found a solution.

    Thanks,
    Tad

There is a fuse box behind the pull out on the drive side. Can’t remember which fuse but there should be a 10amp blue fuse (if I remember correctly) that will be blown

That fixed it! In my case it was fuse 3 and it was a 10A but it was RED. I really appreciate the reply. For anyone else here is a good guide for the fuse box.

If you look at the diagram it is #3 to solve this problem.

3 - TAIL - 10A - Tail lights, license plate lights, parking lights, multiport fuel injection system/sequential multiport fuel injection system, front fog lights, instrument panel light control, illuminations

Well you helped point me to the correct fuse I would of over looked that! Haha I am assuming it must of blown when I was trying to install LED turn signal lights.
