I wasnt upset at first. All I asked was for you to elaborate on your comment why you think two colors is a bad idea. I even asked again yet you insist on ignoring the question and instead trying to make me look like an idiot by saying stupid responses about the price (which I think I got the first time buddy:rolleyes:) and more responses about your "joke". So If you have ANY useful relevant info and/or arguments on the reasons why/why not this would be a bad idea in a light bar, like others have done, please share and don't be a troll:D

I was gonna hate on andrew too, but he actually came back with a pretty good point about there's no real world testing on em yet. However that doesnt really justify his comment, because none of these Chinese bars really have any "proven" real world testing except by us consumers. If Rigid was to make them it would be a completely different story. China however youre almost always taking a gamble, even though I've had really good experiences myself with all mine, and haven't really heard any bad experiences from any members or anything except that the design was possibly not as efficient as higher name brand bars, but that's what we pay for. I prefer to go the cheaper route and sacrifice just a LITTLE bit of efficiency for cost:)

Never, not once in all my vast collection of a single post, say it was a bad idea. Not once. You alone said i did. You said i then changed my story, which was "cute". And you are saying im ignoring your question by not answering your demand of why i think 2 colors in a bar is a bad idea. Which is an argument created solely by you and demanding i provide justification for, on an stance i never had. I did not buy it, because of the price. That is a very simple statement. It doesnt interject quality, the day of the week, global warfare or even what i had for breakfast into exactly 1 item of personal choice.

This is the absolute worst kind of straw man argument and at this point im done, its not worth the electrons. Not that i dont enjoy arguing pointless items on the internet but its a limited enjoyment.

So lets flip the demand. Provide the statement where i say its a bad idea to have 2 colors and i will then justify my statement. Until then im done. I know it will be a long wait but im sure its worth it.

Yer right, you didn't say those exact words.
But It was the insinuation of your "joke"... Maybe I misjudged it. Maybe not. Maybe I'm tired of people leaving smart remarks in threads when it's totally uncalled for. Maybe you should be a little more careful what you post so no one does get offended. Then not drag it out and just answer the simple questions people ask or state your intentions on those comments if someone does question you on it instead of being a smart ass about it... But yer right, I'm not the troll police. So go ahead and post whatever you want.

What exactly is the point of running amber colored lights?

Better visibility during dusty/foggy conditions. It penetrates through the dust/fog and doesn't create the glare/whiteout that a white light bar would cause which would make your visibility worse. I drive down dirt roads every day and even get some nasty dust storms here in az so I was considering an amber bar to use in those conditions. Sometimes the dust storms are so bad you literally can't see 5 feet in front of you so you have to stop or come to a creep. A lot of the Baja guys use them because they're constantly in the dust from other racers so it's more practical for them than it is for casual off roaders. Unless you have some conditions that calls for it like I do. That's why I liked this bar. Because I'd only need the amber upon those rare occasions and the simplicity of this "switched" design would be perfect for that.

One reason amber or yellow is better for fog lights is that the human eye has a hard time focusing on blue light. This is the reason why shooting glasses are yellow. This filters out the blue light and make it easier to focus on your target.

White light from has a large blue component to it. This is especially true with HIDs and LEDs that have a color temperature higher than 6000K. I'm sure you have noticed that some HIDs and LEDs have a bluish tint to them. Yellow fog lights are typically down around 4300K to 4500K. This has a much longer wavelenth than blue light. I think the longer wavelenth has something to do with the ability to penetrate through fog better too.

Shme? Naw. Be a while before I invest in more lights. Need to do some prev maintenance and motor work:( But I am considering getting this one when I do. Not sure. Doesn't really match my other single row 10w led bars. Still debating. Was hoping someone else would get it first:D

I don't really need a light bar but I really like the ability to change from amber to white. If I decide to get one, I might have to go with one of these or something like it.

I'm thinking about changing mine up in the far future from one single row 10watt led bar to TWO double row stacked curved bars. One regular all flood and one of these in curved (if they start making these that way) in spot. And only if they are 5watt leds. A stretch I know, but I'm happy with my current set-up and will only switch under those terms:D

No, but I like for my truck to be visible to other drivers when I choose to be seen. :D

I'm still not done yet. ;)

Ha wait till you start spending the big bucks on led bars. You'll soon learn when to stop. Ha. See, you did all the cool cheap mods first where I went light bars and projectors first. already spent roughly over $2k just in lights and now on other cosmetics like misc led dtrls and whatnot. I wanna say I'm done, but I know I'm not:D But I am taking a break and investing in things she needs. Instead of neglecting her and breaking down on me like she just did:(
