I am going to run a set of Rigid D2 pods on some relentless hood brackets. My question is what would be the best throw? I am leaning toward the diffused as I want a good amount of light to fill in the left and right of the truck when driving on our backroads.

Light, Bumpers, and lots of switches.
I'd go with the wide beam pattern since your going with d2s

Run with the D2 Driving, you will not be disappointed.

If you are using them as actual ditch lights, go for the wide. If you are going to use them as forward facing lights, the hyperspot are the way to go!

Let me know if I can get you a killer deal on a set, Ive got too many duallies on the shelf.

Hyperspots are great but they are a pencil beam. He wanted a spread, hints the best is D2 Driving :)

Those are about perfect for what I want. Do you get much light deflecting off the hood?

You wont get much, if you aim them right you wont have any problem.
