    Hey guys,

I purchased a 50 " Light bar and mounts from Tough Light on black friday. I didnt realize the mounts were roof mounts and not door channel mounts. Which is worse to have? Roof mounts or door channel mounts? Im not sure im too fond of drilling holes for either!

Does anyone know if they even make channel door mounts for a 50"?

Light, Bumpers, and lots of switches.
If you have a double can there are already two threaded holes in each rain channel. If not then there is no way to get around drilling. I'm a DCSB that is running SoCal Supertrucks mounts which are the best mounts in my opinion. I had to drill an extra hole for the 3rd bolt. But it is super solid and won't leak as long as you use the right sized drill bit. I also used silicone

did you just cut the weather stripping back or trim to fit around the mount? I have a double cab as well. Did you drill a 4th hole for the wiring?

I used the rain channel and factory threaded bolt holes for my light bar mounts.

yes. trim to fit, or cut/drill holes through molding. no extra holes needed for wiring. the wire coming from the light bar fits perfectly in the channel between the A pillar and windshield.

best pic i can find of mine..

well.. if you're gonna mount the light bar to the roof.. you're gonna need actual roof mounts... like the ones pictured above. Relentless Fabrication are the ones pictured. they use the double cab factory roof rack holes.

Moose I have the roof mounts but they didnt come with any bolts or hardware. Are the pre-drilled roof holes threaded? If so do you know what thread/bolt size I should use? If they arent, are there any recommendations on what to use for fastening the roof mounts?

    what mounts are they?

the Relentless mounts come with the hardware, I am not sure what the size/thread is on them. the factory holes are threaded.. so you'll just have to find ones that fit. I'd go stainless/grade 8.

I bought them from a company called Tough-Light. They dont even have the roof mounts for my truck on their website. I had to email them to see if they had anything to fit. They did, just it didnt come with any fastening hardware. Which now I'm finding weird since every other company sends you the hardware.

Ill work on it! It fits the pre-drilled holes, I just need to find hardware. My buddy and I put it all together last week but that was before I knew about the pre-drilled holes.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I've been working all day. It sounds like moose knows what he is talking about so I'd listen to him

I used bolts that a were a bit longer than what the factory would use so that I could place a nylon lock nut on the bottom. Provides some theft / rattling loose protection.

I used the same mount as Moose:

Used the existing holes under the rubber trim on the roof. No drilling of the roof required withe the Relentless brackets...
