Just got a 50'' Led light bar I have a double cab 2nd gen! What is the best way to install the lights? Im going to get the brackets made, but would I have to drill into the truck or should I be able to install them without the drilling. Any help is greatly appreciated Thank you and Happy New Year everybody!

Try the search feature. I know there are plenty of people that have done this. ;)

A lot of times people get 'the whistle'. Easy fix with door trim on the fins or foam inserts. Look for the 'how to fix light bar whistle' thread. I had to do this as well.

And as far as drilling, you will most likely have to. Unless you have the factory holes to use in the roof. Not sure on 2nd gen but I always suggest drilling through the rain gutter behind the weather stripping instead of through the cab. I think all 2nd gens have the spot on the roof to use though. Under that strip I think. Or at least to drill through there would be ok. Just be sure to seal it good. Butyl tape/strips would be best, or silicone, or both. Install should be fairly easy compared to 1st gens. But if you have the rain gutter like mine, might be best if you're making your own mounts. No need to get under the headliner unless you're using the nutserts. I'm sure someone will chime in with better options. Just throwing out some for ya.

I have the holes, I just checked. its suppose to be for a rack, but ill just put the mounts there for the light. Sealing it will be my next obstacle I don't want water going through there. :)

Yup. And again, butyl tape works great. And easy to remove if you ever have to take it off. Or silicone works. Just make sure you place it in between like you would a gasket, and not just silicone the edge after install.

I just got the mounts fabbed, I'm just going to get them bolted up in the pre drilled holes where the rain gutter is, then wire them right up! Thank you everybody!
