    Hey tw,
So like many of you, I'm sick of that orange bulb in the front turn signals. So when I bought leds for the rear, I shaved down a flasher unit wire and that fixed the hyperflashing. So what I'm asking is do yall think that'd be enough to prevent huoerflashing up front too? Or do I need additional parta besides the bulb? Thanks!

Do you know the part number for the electronic flasher?

Ijdm.com sells load resistors for like $5 I think. Just splice them in your wires and they're good to go.

I'm in the same boat... I removed the ugly amber front signal bulbs (only the front facing, not the corners) and replaced them with white LEDs. Now I have Hyper-flashing when I use the signal. Also my driving lights, which used to be the same front facing amber bulbs, do not work. (they only function as turn signals now) I purchased my 2013 Taco used from a dealer and a previous owner may have done to it.
My skills are some what limited (if its not plug'n play, its beyond my abilities)

I found a fix, shave down the metal hoops in the flasher unit. There's a write up somewhere

Is there a way to make those front facing only turn signal lights to not be turn signal lights and just be daytime running lights?

No simple way to do it if you don't have the knowledge. You would need to find a 12v source that turns on with the ignition (I imagine finding this shouldn't be difficult), and a way to turn it off when the headlights turn on (not terribly difficult either, the concept would be the same as DIY switchback circuits). However, if you don't have a rudimentary knowledge of circuits and reading circuit diagrams, I wouldn't suggest you trying to undertake it yourself. If you do know circuits (taken an electrical engineering class or two), then it shouldn't be difficult to plan out.

I took the LEDs back to the store and replaced them with Silverlight bulbs. Works, and looks great!
