Need some "Light" advice

I have a 2006 lifted DC. I am probably going to install the N-Fab light bar with 4 lights. I am leaning toward 4 PIAA lights. 2 of the 520 driving lights in the center and two of the 520 fogs as the outer lights. Is this a good set up for visibility? I was also looking at the LightForce 170's but I'm not crazy about the depth of them as they appear a little too thick. Looking for a good way to arrange the light for maximum visibility.

I'd recommend KC Slimlites. A little cheaper and just as good as piaa.

The PIAA driving lights are AWESOME....

However, fog lights aren't nearly as bright and don't go out nearly as far as driving lights. Do you think you'll get maximum usability from the fog lights having them mounted that high up?

I have a set of PIAA 540 Fog lights mounted at bumper height and they're directed more towards the roadway (downward).
Similar to the OEM fogs, the light up the roadway in front of you.

Unless you're just going for looks....?? For maximum lighting, get two sets of driving lights.

(and as always, check with your local state laws about lighting, etc).

I just ordered the N-Fab light bar and I am waiting for it to arrive. I am having problems choosing between the PIAA 520 ATP, PIAA 520 SMR and the KC Slimlites 130w Titanium. I will be installing 4 lights.

I was thinking about mounting the 4 KC 130w slimlites. Haven't heard too much about them.

I would go with 2 driving lights and 2 pencil beams. that IMO would be most effective lighting. you get extra light where your headlights are and then you can see a pretty good distance up ahead the road as well

i'm running a set of 510 SMR fogs and the regular 510 driving lights... those coupled with the high beams throws out ALOT of light... ohh and i got the SMR fogs so i could get the white bulb instead of that yellowish one... dont like the yellow personally whether it lights up better in the fog or not..

I've narrowed my choices to 4 LightForce 170 Strykers or 4 PIAA 520 ATP. Any suggestions?

I am using the 520 ATP lights as well.. Its a good combo beam since it combines a spread of the fog lights and the depth of a driving light. Its a great looking light as well cosmetically with that grill and piaa badge.

However, The Lightforce lights are damn tough lights. I dont have personal experience with them but friends have them and they will take some beatings.

I think you will be happy with either one from a beam perspective so it would then come down to looks that appeal to you.

What I really like about Lightforce is the toughness and the yellow lenses for fog.

i would go with lightforce as you can change the filters for light dispersion and color. they are really nice and I will be upgrading to them once I get some money

A little thanks who chimed in with their opinion. I ordered 4 Lightforce 170's with clear combo filters. Probably once I get them instaled and like them, I will get yellow filters.
