Ruined my 3rd brake light lense!!!

Ok I found out that the 1st gen tacomas do not have the same lens as 2nd gen. The screw holes are indeed further apart on the 2nd gens. I ended up doing a wet sand with 120 and then again with 600 and have a smooth finish but it is very dull. I"m thinking of putting a clear coat down to seal the small cracks and then shoot a coat or two of the nite shade over the top. Anyone think the nite shade will eat the clear coat?

 

I got my hands on one but am still looking for another. Anyone interested in selling there 3rd brake light lens? Thinking there should be some floating around out there if anyone has put in an LED replacement. Please let me know, thanks!
