I put a 1/4'' steel bracket on the inside bottom portion of the grill surround. This part of the grill surround is very flimsy but with the steel bracket doesn't move at all. I drilled holes through the plastic grill surround and the the 1/4'' steel. Then used the mounting hardware that came with the lights to hold the steel bracket in place and also mount the lights.

The Hella Black Magics are big. They barely fit inside the grill. This worked out perfect though because it wedged the light to the inside top of the grill surround and supported the lights een more so they wont shake and flutter. There is absolutly no problem there!

I also cut the wires and added some quick release connections so I could easily remove the grill as needed.

I relocated the horns into some factory mounting points on the drivers side wall. There is a sensor that I think is for the thermomoter that was tied together with the horn wires so I separated them so the senor could stay in it's original place on the bracket in front of the radiator. You can see it in the pic.

I ran my wires really clean and put them through a nipple that I snipped off of a factory grommet that runs into the cab berhind the dash.

Hooked the wires up to a fog light switch I got from the dealership.

Heres the finished product. A horrible night shot again but whatever.

I got all the ideas from a thread that ilovetacos did for his behind the grill headlights. I modified a few things for the Black Magics. So credit goes to him without him even knowing it. Lol Also I need to take that bracket out and spray it because the rust is already building as you can see. Anyways, hope this helps some people. :D

Day time shot. It's hard with the camera to get real shot of what they look like though.

I'm not sure what you're saying dude. The factory fog light switch on the left should light up yes. The one to the right of it which I installed. I used wires that were behind the blank switch plug that were for something my truck didn't come with to light up the led. Not sure if that's what you're asking. If ya got any Q's feel free to ask and I'll help ya out. Late

Factory fog light switch wireing diagram.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/40462-how-add-off-switch-your-dtrls.html

Guys I put the OEM fog light switch in the position to the right of the factory fog light switch (Traction Control Switch location I believe) for a DTRL kill switch. When I popped out the blank cover there already was a plug there, and it was wired. All four wires were installed in the plug. This pic is of that prewired connector after I pulled the two of wires for the LED out.

If your vehicle did not come with a fog lights from factory, you may have the connector already wired behind your blank cover. I don't know for sure because mine had fog lights from the factory. So I reused the two for the LED on my new switch, because they are already were wired to come on with my lights.

Note that the all of the switches are keyed to go into a certain place on the dash, so I had to modify my new fog light DTRL switch to fit in the open location.

Here is a pic of the new DTRL kill switch. I need to find a way to label them 'FOG' and 'DTRL' Any Ideas?

    1. what did you attach the 1/4" steel plate to the plastic with? just epoxy?
    2. how did you get the stock OEM fog light switch out? Can you show what you had to do for the trimming of the new switch?

    Thanks boss
