tail light lenses

hey all- newbie to the forums... Real simple question- are the taillights the same for the 96-00 and the 01-04? I'd like to do the JDM red/clear ones for the pre-01 models, but the sellers on Ebay say they won't fit my 04. They look like they're identical, except the 01-04 looks "bubbly"... Can anyone help? Are they the same or are they different?

Which ones were you exactly looking at? Have a link? The wiring harness is a bit different between the 95.5-00 and 01-04. The lenses are interchangeable, but the housing may not be.

I just like the cleaner look of the pre-01 style.

 

Well, like I said the wiring harness may be a bit different and may need some minor, but do-able rewiring done for them to light up correctly.
