9006 HID's what to do

So when I bought my Tacoma I traded in my Acura. I removed most of the aftermarket parts including my Eagle Eye HID lights which have served me faithfully for over 6 years. They cost a lot more than what HID lights go for today (almost four times that).

I want to do something with them.

So far I was thinking about finding some good looking housings and maybe installing them in the rear bumper and I could use a switch to activate them. I would only use them while off roading AND reversing of course. Seems like kind of a waste for HID's though.

I also thought about replacing the fogs with the HID lights.

They are 9006 style.



Hmmm... What to do?!?

 

Why not just buy different bulbs and put them in your headlights?

 

The Tacoma uses a 9145 (H10) in the fogs. They are very similer in design to the 9006. You could probably make them work.

 

Use it for the foglight, I have HID driving & fog light, I love it.

I'll try them in the fogs and see if they'll go there. Failing that I may see about replacement bulbs.
