I'm lighting retarded and need help...?

So I got some new HID headlights to put into my truck, and what I am wondering is what colors go with what? More or less, I just need to know what the red wire with the white stripe is for. I'm pretty confident that I can distinguish between positive and negative, I just can't for the life of me figure out what that other wire is for. Is there a diagram somewhere for that plug that goes onto the light? Any help is appreciated. This is for an 05 BTW...

Red wire might be the power wire that runs to your battery depending on the kit you have.

Some more details as to your kit brand, and some pictures of the wiring harness would help us better diagnose your issue.
