I have Gen 2. Would like to disable the dots. No fogging, yet. Plug n play. IIRC, gen 1 needs to be wired to parking lights. Supposing gen 3 is plug n play. Not sure, someone with those will have to chime in. Rest is just personal preference as far as choice.

Whatever ones you like better. All those are pretty much made by the same people one won't be better than the other. I'd just do the BHLM and a proper projector retrofit if it were me.

I choose Eagles not because I have them, but because I have heard that the LEDs don't work our burn out quick in the angels and they are not plug and play.

There are no LEDs in the angel eyes in the gen 2 headlights... They're CCFL (cathodes).

I'm pretty sure that the three lights on the inside of the angels are LED. I also thought that only the Eagles has CCFLs. The eagles HALOs are so much brighter I thought the angels just has neon strips.

Gen 1 are the ones with the 3 leds on the inside & are not ccfl & are not plug n play. They have to be wired to parking lights.

Gen 2 has leds under the angels. I want to disable them. These are ccfl & are plug n play.

Gen 3 has blinker under the angels & leds under the angels curving up along the outside of the light. IIRC, these are also ccfl & are plug n play.

    You're confusing yourself.

    Gen 1
    • 3 LEDs near grille
    • LED angel eyes
    • Incandescant eyebrow

    Gen 2
    • 4 LEDs near the bumper
    • CCFL angel eyes
    • CCFL eyebrow (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

    Gen 3
    • 4 LEDs curving up like the new Audis
    • LED angel eyes
    • No eyebrows

Ok now I get what your saying. My bad.
Either way I have heard not so good things from the Gen 1.

he means using OEM projectors...not egay stuff...

OP, the angel eyes will be dim, the eagle eyes will be a lot brighter. i personally would go w/ the eagle eyes if you only have a choice between the two only...but ultimately im w/ Tat2dTaco...!

None. BHLM + Silverstar bulbs. Bright white light, looks less tacky and "toy store" than all this stuff.

I know exactly what he meant, thanks yosh. But, I was trying to see if he knew what he was talking about

I'm not sure what your problem with eBay is, but I find a lot of stuff useful on eBay. You send people there to buy Philips HID capsules

dont have a problem w/ egay..i have a problem w/ egay aftermarket headlights (and hid kits), as i have taken a set apart and seen how cheap the sealant they use on them is...not to mention all the posts of headlights leaking are from those who purchased aftermarket headlights on egay. and those "projector" headlights on egay suck...why else would you retrofit OEM projectors in there...:D

i too purchase on egay a lot, but specific stuff. and i send people to egay because they can get OEM phillips bulbs for $74...which is an excellent price...i dont send them for aftermarket bulbs...

back to the OP...do yourself a favor and put some 4300k bulbs in there...this will give you the most light on the road. also, dont forget that those projectors might use a different bulb than H4s...
