Help with connecting 8" baja design lights with AllPro bumper

I am installing the allpro off road sheet metal front bumper. I have the light hoop and had a question about the installation of the 8" baja design sol tec light.

Do I have to buy a wire kit to hook the lights up? The lights came with just a wire sticking out the back.

How do these lights connect to my car?

Do I have to buy an aftermarket switch to turn them on and off?

you need a auxillary light harness, you can get them at pep boys or autozone for like $20. it is not hard to wire them up, just follow instructions and should take about 20 minutes.

and what do you mean connect to your car, to the light hoop?

i'm thinking he means connecting them to power and a switch. all should be detailed in the instructions for the wiring harness

I got the la paz lights with the bumper from allpro off road with my entire bumper.

So i will go to autozone and buy the light harness. Does the light harness come with a switch or can I wire the new baja lights into the old factory switch for my oem fog lights?

jhodge said that is the way he did it and he knows what he is talking about. just cut the connector of the end and close one eye and touch the wires.

you have the two wires coming off the soltek lights, you might have to make them longer to reach the fog light harness. cut the connector at the end of the fog light wire that used to plug into the foglights then connect the two wires from the fog light wires to the soltek wires. do you know what we mean

yeah...definately going to need to be extended. the ones off the lights should be black/red and the ones going to the fogs arent colored like that. one of them has a black stripe and i used that as the black/ground. everything has worked on mine for over 6 months. i think the 510's are only 55W

that'd definately be pushing it IMO...it'd take some research to see if the relay's, fuses, etc could handle that much

agreed, i just hooked up my lightforce hid's to the fog lights and no problems but double that you will most likely blow a fuse at least.

so instead of hooking into the fog light wires, if i just buy the wiring kit from auto zone, will i still blow a fuse? I dont wanna be running it that way if it might overload it?

what do i need to do to not blow a fuse?
