Well, I instaled my DDM HIDs last week and one light had a blue color to it, swaped the two ballasts and it was the same thing, blue color other side. Called DDM and they said the ballast was weak/bad, need to replace. So here is the kicker, they want you to remove them and send them back for replacement so you have to put your stock ones back in! fuck me #1, what a pain!. I asked them if they could send the new ones and I would give them my credit card number so if I did not send the old ones back they could charge me for them, he said sure, for a 15$ charge! fuck me #2. Other wise you have to send them in and wait for the replacments to come back, they say they need to check them to be sure there bad. fuck me again! Why did they not check them before they shipped em the first time and I would not have to tear my truck apart again. I dig the lights but fuck me! Just needed to vent, sorry about the laguage as well but Damm!

That sucks. I hate it for you.

I'd recommend throwing those new DDMs on eBay when you get them and go with a OE ballast, i.e., Denso, Hella, Matsushita.

'ceptin of course you'll have to buy stock bulbs, housings, and wiring harness.

From what I can tell, the stock/OEM ballasts aren't quite plug and play. They're also about $100 each (eBay prices).

I'd love having a stock set of HIDs in my truck, but I'm going with DDM per recommendations from this (and other) boards and current experience with them. I've got two other cars to light up and buying DDM is the easiest, cheapest solution. Maybe not the most effective, but they'll do.

Checked out their site and the quality/specs are reassuring, but $200?

I'm going to try out a set of Bi-xenons for $80 delivered. If they work out, great, if they don't I'll look into transplanting a set of OEM projectors or buying the XD set.

Thanks.

Paying $200 vs. $50 doesn't give you a higher quality kit. It's still not OEM. A couple of my buddy's XenonDepot kits went out within a year.
