Anytime Foglight mod explained electrical (diagrams)

I've not seen a wire diagram for a 2014, but should work.

It's a slide connector, 16 gauge I think

 

Did you do this on your 2014? Was it the same as thread?

This is good to hear. Which set of instructions did you use for your 2014? Did you have to splice?

 

I ended up just splicing mine . I could not get it to fit snug .

 

What all did you splice? Could you do a close of of where the wire from the ac relay went to?

 

I spliced into the green wire .. I taped it up but you can see in the second to last photo the blue square with black electrical tape on it..

this is exactly how i rigged mine as well, I used really small gauge wire i think 20 gauge and just put on a female spade terminal on it and connected it to the bent terminal of the relay. I didnt cut anything from the fuse bux as i got it to fit without having to do that. On the main fuse area, I just twisted the end and plugged it right into the terminal port, no splicing for me. Havent had any issues with it falling out yet as the lid keeps it pretty snug.

 

You just stuffed it next to the green/ white wire?

 

I've got an 08 base without the fogs, but I'm ordering a kit off of Amazon with everything included:

Not sure if the relay is in the fuse block or not, still need to look. I assume as soon as I get the lights installed I can do this mod. This is actually one of the things I wanted to do as soon as I got the truck.

Thread intrusion Crom.
Trying to clear the round about way for all the different model issues.
As shown here, there is a junction box which 10A IG1 divides it's juice to many other circuits, mostly actuation, as in very low amps.
The newer models have the added larger relay box added to main fuse box.
Some other threads on this mod is hacking into the engine sensors (blue with black runner).

 

I have a 13 taco and I did this. My fog lamp indicator stopped working. So I changed it back and still not working. Any of u guys have this issue?

I tried this mod and it worked for about a minute. After I turned the fog lights off then on again, it stopped working. Any ideas why?

 

So let's talk about 2016's! I recently wired my driving lights to the fogs but of course they turn off with the brights. While not a big deal it would be nice to use both.

I know it's way different than 2nd gen (so I've read) but can only find threads talking about what might work.
