BHLM and HID upgraderat same time.

So I've ordered the DDM HID kit hi/lo H4's,35W, 6000k. Really excited to get them in the truck. I'm also wanting to do the BHLM. Should I do these at the same time. Would it benefit me to do the HID work while the headlight assembly is out of the truck? Also didn't know if the added heat from the HID's would create a curing problem for the paint. Thanks for the input!

 

It doesn't matter if you have the headlight assembly on or off the truck, but it would probably better to have on the truck to install the kit. What makes you think more heat is created using HIDs?

 

Well i did this a couple weeks ago so i would say you are fine.

 

Just an unfounded assumption. I have no proof that it does or not, but it seems like it should.

 

Yeah I installed my HID's while the lights were still on the truck. Very easy to do!

 

Just do the bhlm first. Then you won't have to take the HIDs off your truck again.

 

35w HID and 35w halogen is still 35w so your assumptions are unfounded.
