I installed DDM Tuning 35W Slim ballast HIDs and I'm still working on the aiming of them. I was wondering if these bright spots are normal.

The HIDs in my tacoma do the same thing

It's less noticeable on my BMW, but the oem 4300ks in it do the same. the Infiniti projectors are the cleanest, but even they have "bright spots"

Projectors have the same issue. Just much less noticeable.

Oh, yeah mine are still in the stock housings.

Yeah I don't think I've ever noticed a bright spot while riding in other cars with projectors.

My jacked up HID's I had to modify my cutoff a little by putting some reflective tape (metal tape) on the HID "cutoff" to make it glare less. It worked out pretty nicely for a cheap quick fix.

HID projectors have a uniform bowl, no sharp edges. who can this type of reflector produce the hot spots and terrible glare seen in the pics?! please, im dying to know...

Pics or it didn't happen. I would think if there are bright spots from a projector then there is something afoul with the lens.

Correct, there is uniform bowl. But there is still a bulb, a main emission of light... therefore there is no perfect dispersion of lumens. I tested this shit back in grad school. BLOWS MAH MIND!

of course there is no perfect dispersion, but the crappy output pictured is no where near the non perfect dispersion in a HID projector.

Agreed. I never stated that HID was similar. I just said it still has the same issue, just alot less. Remeber ;)

You and are on the same page. Haha. :p
