HID question

I would do a Projector retrofit. Instead of putting HID kit in. With a projector retrofit the beam will be directed to where they are suppose to. If you just stuck a HID kit in, IE ballast and bulb. The light will be scattered.

 

the ddm kit does not show an application for the 9003 bulb. does another one work?

 

for the ddm tuning kit, get the H4 Hi/low bulb, pick your wattage and pick your color. i just got their kit (35 watt, 6000k) and love it. it lights up the whole road, 180 degrees in front of you. i actually prefer it to the projectors. my brother has projectors, and as soon as you hit that cutoff line...no more light. with these, you have a greater field of vision.

 

colin, whats the biggest difference between the 35w to the 55w? do you have any pics?

 

Not to intrude on the question.. But the difference is brightness. I had 35 watt and then went to the 55 watt and there is a huge difference. But you are blinding more people and it will attract more cops for sure. The 55 watt will also make the color change for example 8k which has a blueish hue to it will then turn white because the 55 watt is way brighter. Hope this helps.

I have their 55w 4300k and they're amazing. Put out tons of light, and especially useful on those night runs. Their service is awesome too

 

looks liek they covered it pretty well. you'll be fine with the 35 watt. even they are so much brighter than stock. and yeah, i wouldn't go all of the way up to 10000k if you still want good visibility. 8000k would be good though

its called a cutoff line for a reason....driving around w/ your what appears to be your brights (not talking about the amount of lumens on the road, but the cutoff) is just stooopid....

i have 55W 6k headlights and 35W 3k fogs and just ordered a set of 55W 6k lights for my hella's. It puts out a ton of light. Makes it sooooo much better for night runs.

Those lights are blinding the shit out of me just from the picture. I can't even imagine what they'd be like on the road. There's nothing badass about that. It's pretty stupid actually.

 

The H4 is NOT the same as the 9003. The filament is in a different spot of the bulb.
