Back in feb my girlfriend got me a hitch mounted aux lights, and a tailgate lights strip. since the light strip brun out for the second time i was thinking how i can't get the aux lights the point exactly where i wanted them so i had the great idea of mounting a set of fog lights to my hitch so i could have alittle more control. so below is first what i started with and the bottom two is what im going to try. hopefully tomorrow the rain will let up and i can mount and wire it up. Let me know what you guys and girls think if i can figure out how i will put up a poll.

I can't win i have two different cheap fog lights sitting around that i bought for other projects in the above pictures i have the big one on. the picture below shows the light output of both the small one is to the right (seems to be more of a fog light ) the one to the left seems to be more of a driving beam i can't decide what the best option is.

    None, yet
I saw a similar product at either a PEP Boys auto parts, or a Lowes. But it mounted to the receiver on the truck, so it's always there. It should be easy to fab a bracket that clamps/ bolts around the receiver with flat extensions on the sides to mount lights to. It's on my growing "Taco to do" list.

You can power them up from the four wire harness, that will give all the light needed for hooking up a trailer. Without a trailer, there is plenty of additional back-up light

the picture at the top is the pepboys one its ok but i cracked it when i first put it on cuz its all plastic and it points alittle too high so i am trying to build something that uses the same concept but is a little better.

if not enough light is a big deal to you then you will get a kick out of this. i was think how both the cheap lights i have, have two different beam patters that would be nice to have both so for shits and giggles i put both on. Now i just loosely fit them just to see what it would look like idk if i will even try it on the truck this way but looks crazy.

My question is are you drilling in to hitch receiver because there might be a issue with weakening the hitch?
