    Thanks for the info!

I did about 3 light coats. then basically a whole can of clear. 17 layers or so.

Still look the same, 6 months later.

This was a fantastic write up. I enjoyed the hours of fun I spent doing my taillights. My first attempt looks pretty good, but I can definitely go darker without much fear of upsetting the police.

Great write-up, thanks! Never had much luck painting and having it actually turn out. Spend most of my day working them over and your instructions kept me out of trouble (and even taught me a few things - like patience). Mine ended up a little darker than I probably should have though.

All i did to tint my tail lights on my 2002 honda accord ex sedan, was i put tap where i don't want to spray and i used wetanddry 1000 sand paper and sanded them till there smooth. then sprayed a coat of black plasti dip. they are SUPER black so if you dont want it like that then i suggest not spraying as much.

The very first post on this thread looks really nice, not to dark and all.
Has anyone tried to do this with a film instead? Wouldn't that be easier and easier to reverse?

Just did mine along with BHLM... turned out a touch lighter than I would have wanted but I like that it's really subtle. Will post pictures when it's light out.
