Passenger side tail light assembly replacement

So, I need to change my passenger side tail light assembly. I can either get it at Toyota at cost for 110 bucks, or go on Amazon.com and get it for like 70. Either way, install myself. Looks relatively simple, but if someone has some suggestions I will gladly take them on either a) I better place to get the part, or b) the best way to change it all out.

Thanks!!!

They're really easy to get out. 2 10mm bolts and they (literally) POP out in 2 places. Quarter turn on the bulbs and they're out.
OEM is always better than aftermarket. You're best bet would be to try to find someone selling the one light you need either on here or on craigslist.

When I smashed one of my tail lights, I got a pair of OEM's that looked brand new for $50 + shipping. I just turned around and sold the one good light that I had for almost the same price.

X2. Super easy to install. If your going to mod up your truck, they have a bunch of different ones on ebay for pretty cheap to so you might want to check them out.

If you go the egay way, keep in mind that those lights will not last as long as OEM. The sealant on those aftermarket lights is cheap and tends to let moisture into the light much sooner than an OEM light would.

The aftermarket headlights are more of a problem because the lenses fog up and oxidize within just a few years + the sealant problem.

Thanks!

I just need to replace the factory one. Not making modifications yet Soon I hope! Just tagged something backing up (first mishapp in 10 years. sweeet), small nick in the tail gate, and the tail light cover popped right off. Should be easy, but 100 bucks?

Like I said, you best bet would be to buy a pair for around $100 from somebody on this site and sell the one you didn't use for 50-60ish.
