I'll I am trying to say is bigger is better. 12 is a better idea than 14 but you really only have to run 14 for that sized circuit It's up to you, it's your truck. I never said that 14 was bigger than 12 "Bigger wires have added mechanical protection." I was actually talking about the 12 gauge here. sorry for the confusion.

Look. The sun is shining; Let's shovel the crap away, now that we're all on the same page:amen:

BTW, Nice smokes there, Bradley. My fav is the Maxx, damn pricy though.

the strange thing im running in to now is that the lights themselves come with about 6" of #16 to connect to, and from what I remember I don't want to start splicing #12 to #16.

Doing things right can be a serious pain in the ass sometimes

Remember each light draw is half so for that part it's fine. So you'll have two 16 going to a 12. Don''t joint a 16 to a 16 then off to the twelve. Join the two 16's where it meets the 12 under one connection. Make sense ?

What ever what I meant up there is if you must run smaller because you have to sqeeze the wires threw little holes then you can go as small as #14 but really you want to run heavier wire. One size up is the normal rule of thumb ( requires 14 so use #12 ) If it was a really long run then you would actually have to go bigger then than #12. Truck is not big enough though for that problem to occur.

It's only good if he wires them in parallel. Series, not so good
