anybody ever upgrade their hella 700ffs to 100w bulbs instead of 55w bulbs? the light output with the 55w bulbs sucks so I am thinking I'd like 100w bulbs. would the original wiring, relay, and fuse be ok to use for 100w bulbs? would the light housing be ok with a 100w bulb? I am electrically challenged so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I installed some vision-x 100w bulbs in mine and love it. Only a$ 30 upgrade.

    you are fine.

    although i recommend H83135312, hella's 100w performance H3.

as with all bulbs make sure you spin the capsule in a paper towel soaked with isopropyl alcohol before installation. even if you don't touch the glass, some tiny asian somewhere might have.

    700FF on order
    I think 100w>55w

Do folks just slap any 100w halogen h3 in and call it good?

hopefully whatever wiring and fuse comes with can handle it
Heard it’s better for each light to use its own harness if 100w
Guess I’ll find oit when they come if the harness in the kit is dual separate one for each light, or less parts and combines both into one…

Maybe. Do a simple check of the wire and fuse size to get a simple, actual, answer for yourself. Or just rely on the opinion of internet randos, fire can be fun and educational.

it looks like they might sell an HD harness at more cost separate

what came with the 700FF is around 20 gauge and 15a fuse

it’s much thinner than my headlight services headlights harness

I imagine to up bulb from 55w to 100w might be needed change wiring to around 12ga and up fuse to 20amp, at minimum
