I used some rustoleum lense tint the other day on my tails, and it came out far from decent. After wet sanding forever with no luck I tried some "goof off". Didn't do the trick for me no matter how long I let it sit. So I bought some stuff called "citristrip" today from lowes. Its a so called "safer" paint stripper. I let it soak on my tails for 30 mins and then tried wiping with a cloth...the tint came right off! No harm done to the tails either. Just figured i'd let you guys in on how I got that crap off finally lol.

That was with three coats, the lights didn't show too well. I re tinted again yesterday evening and did two light coats and it looks way better. Light output is a lot better than the last tint, the lights were very visible during the daylight today.
