So ive spent the afternoon searching on here for a direct answer, and felt i would go ahead and start a thread..... so im about to order some hid's for my 2nd gen, and ill be using this kit here.

I know i need the H4/HB2/9003 bulbs, but do i need to spend the $20 extra for the Hi/low?

keep in mind i do want to keep the high beams useable.

Any help/ concerns would be appreciated.

If you still want high beams you need the hi/lo kit, otherwise you just get low beams.

so if i get the non hi/low kit. will "flipping" the hi's on do anything?? or will it just remain on the low beams?

Oh and the Raptor kit is crap, you get what you pay for, spend some $$ and at least get the $60+ ones.

oh man i dont know if im ready to tackle another retro fitting task. i did the TSX retro fits on my 03 RSX...what a pain in the ass lol. i agree that the HID looks 100x better in a projector housing vs. a reflector housing. and i should do them.

ive ordered from ddm tuning atleast 6 times for my previous vehicles. I have used the same kit each time and really have not had any problems with the kit. ive taken advantage of the warranty and was not given the run around by the company. if you dont mind, why do you say the kits are crap?? im curious to know so i can make a decision on whether or not to purchase from them. where would you order the kit from?

I went through 3 raptor kits in my G8, and they finally upgraded me after the third ballast took a crap. The company does stand behind there products, but i have always after that spent the little extra to get the better ballast. The lights are brighter the better the ballast.

    check out SharpHID.com

they sell DDM kits, they are a few bucks more but they have better customer service and faster shipping.

i got the 35W, 4500k, hi/low kit from them and i am very happy. the highs are worth the extra $20

If you get the DDM kit from sharphid.com do you have to get the harness that they sell seperatly?
