Installed LEDs in the dome, map, and license plate lights. Turned out pretty good I'd say. Ordered them from superbrightleds.com

Are the license plate LED's the same size as map and dome light led's?

The license plate lights don't seem to be throwing out a lot of light. But the interior ones look crazy bright.

Map light & License plate: 168
    Dome light: DE3022
The dome and map light LED mod will probably have to be different. But the Map light and license plate ones should be similar. What parts did you use?

Do you know if you can put maplights into the Tacoma Xtra cab? I only have a dome light. I took off the plastic cover above the rear view mirror. It looks like I've got all the wiring ready to go. I bet there is an easy way to add OEM map lights, but I haven't seen a good tutorial (after searching). Any advice?

Map Lights - 168 style - WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb (need 2 bulbs)
Dome Light - 4410-x9 LED Festoon bulb (need 1 bulb)
License Plate - 168 style - WLED-x-x LED bulb (120 degrees viewing) (need 2 bulbs)

    Install was simple:

Pop off the dome light cover and just snap in the bulb. Replace cover.

Map Lights - Pop off the lens covers and pry out the bulbs using a flat head screw driver. Push new bulbs into place, Replace lens covers

License Plate - Unscrew the black housings and twist out the old bulb. twist in the new bulb. Replace housings.

I havnt had any trouble with mine. You must have a panel of leds in your dome light. The kind I have is just a bulb with leds inside of it. It looks almost identical to the stock bulb.

    Hey Bap,
I just got my bulbs in. The dome light doesnt really fit evenly into the prongs, are yours like that too? Also, the license lights arent as bright as the stock, is yours that way too?

I also had a question on the map lights, how did you fit the metal housing around the bulb? The hole in mine wasnt big enough to use that metal reflector.

Thats odd about the dome light, mine fit perfectly. It was the same size bulb as the stock one if I remember correctly. And yes the license plate lights dont appear to be as bright as stock, but they've since grown on me and seem suitable to me. My map lights pushed right up into the housings though. I dont know why your bulbs are causing you so much trouble.
