HID Projector wiring help needed bad!

I purchased the D2S kit from retrofit source and they came with zero instructions. I was able to get everything wired up and the retros in the lights, but I only have low beams... this is my first time messing with HID's or any kind of wiring for that case. What am I missing?

I also purchased their plug n' play kit for my fog lights (Hella FF75) I wired them up and got nothing? I have a good connection to the battery and my grounds are solid, but I don't have any juice? Any kind of help or leads in the right direction would be great. Thanks for reading!

 

Just though I would update. I got everything in and the fogs wired up but I still have no high beams. Here are a few pics of before and after

 

If those are bi-xenon projectors they have a solenoid that needs to be connected. One of the solenoid wires goes directly to ground, the other goes to the factory high beam wire (that gets +12V when activated). Polarity doesn't matter as far as the solenoid goes.

 

How did you fit the projectors? Did you have to cut those holes? How did they hold on to the housing?

 

What do you mean by the solenoid needs to be connected? The wiring harness had a high and low beam plug?


The projector fits into the factory hole. It's held in by a lock nut. The only cutting I had to do was to the bottom of the shroud. It had a few minor clearance issues.

 

Are they bi-xenon projectors with a solenoid that moves the shield up and down? It sure looks like I see a solenoid wire in this picture:

 

Yeah, they have the solenoid. It had everything already wired up, all I had to do was push the spades into a connector and it plugged into the wiring harness

 

ever get this problem fixed? would love to do projectors, and yours look the best from all ive seen...

 

Sounds like you didn't put the spades in the correct side of the connector for the high beams.

 

Agreed. Also might want to check if you blew any fuses.

 

You can swap them back and forth, doesn't make a difference.

 

Might be how the switch is wired. On my truck the low beams would be on fine. When I turn on my high beams the low beams go out. One set of bulbs is on at a time.

If this was the case for you the low beams would turn off and the "high beams" would move the actuator in the projector. How did you lights work before the switch(factory setup)? Maybe a dual filament bulb, was there only one filament lit at a time?
