I bought DEPO ones off eBay, and they have been fine. Did you get those, or a no-name brand?

Why not just seal them up rather then buy new ones? A beam of RTV silicone around the seam of the lens and body would do the trick.

If silicone gases inside the housing it will attack it and cause unpleasantness--but, if it's not really going to that could work fine. JB Weld might be better, since that looks like the retrofitter's choice.

Is DEPO a brand of fog light?

DEPO is a brand of automotive replacement lighting. They make fog lights, head lights, etc. You can buy replacement DEPO lights for our headlights, if you smashed one or something. OEM is preferred, but DEPO would be OK for fog lights (I'd buy DEPO headlights for a retrofit base, but not if I was keeping halogens).
