On a 2000 prerunner I have a 2" square blank panel just above the door lock rocker on the armrest. I'm guessing for a factory set of rockers to operate the mirrors. I'm thinking of putting in the switches to run fog lights and additional interior lights. I saw on a Toyota dealer parts site that the rockers for mirrors were were $130.00. ???????????? Really? Any better deals? Also wondered if anybody mounted rectangular fogs on the black part of their bumper.

junkyards for switches or post a WTB thread in the market. Plenty of dudes here replace their stock ones with custom switches.

Or just spend 20 bucks for bad ass switches like these www.otrattw.com

Oh Hey Tango. I like those switches. So, I guess I would cut out a square from the blank panel to mount??

i have manual mirrors on my 2000 tacoma and i did the same thing. I used round rocker switches from oznium.com. just run the wire from the switches to power source and whatever you want to run

Yeah, that's what I want to do. Looks more pro that way. Did switches come with a plate? Or, did you cut out a square in the blank piece that's in there already?

Bob, you could probably do it either way. I like using the blank as it looks less aftermarket.

I agree. After all, that's what we're after. Did you have any trouble running wires through the door?
