The base of the DDM HID bulbs do not have a base similar to that of the stock bulb bases so that the dust/water covers fit tightly.

I taped up the gap between the bulb wires and the dust/water cover with electrical tape but it seems to only be a short term solution to prevent water from entering the headlight housing.

If you have the DDM HIDs, how did you seal the gap between the dust/water cover and the bulb wires? I'm thinking about using some silicone.... Thanks in advance.

Can't you modify the OEM dust covers?

How would you modify them so that there aren't any openings so water could get in?
