Something is always in the works
What wattage were the bulbs? Is it possible they got too hot and were splashed with slush or snow?
    It's happened to me before.

I think there's only a couple of manufacturers of those housings.

Whether they leak or not is hit and miss. I've got a set, one leaks, one doesn't. I'm starting to see some corrosion on the reflector.

I'm going to buy the amber set next year and seal the snot out of them with GE Silicone-II.

BTW: If you get that set, you can sell the switch to someone who wants to put one in the center dash area under the radio and make your money back.
One of the vendors everyone was linking to gets over $50 for that stupid switch.
