i honestly rather buy something i dont have the time to take apart the headlights and make something fit. i use the truck everyday and dont have nothing else to drive while its sitting there taken apart. any other ideas or places to look

Sorry to tell ya. But other than retro fit, you're SOL.

highcotton2003 05-05-2013 03:08 PM

well ill just buy new housings and use my HIDs i already have.

highcotton2003 05-05-2013 06:35 PM

so ive been looking and the retrofit doesnt look all that complicated so i think i will go with that choice so im buying projectors and shrouds that are led halo friendly soon

bellassaiw10 05-05-2013 08:39 PM

its not hard to do

highcotton2003 05-06-2013 10:18 AM

yea from what i saw on the install pictures it looks like all u do is make a bigger hole in the housing and screw the projector in place cover it with a shroud and seal it back up and thats all thats to it

For the D2s like i=I have All I had to do was screw the projector in no cutting required

highcotton2003 05-07-2013 10:12 AM

the kit i am looking at is from the retrofitsource. which includes the projectors HID kit w/ ballasts the shrouds for the projectors and halo/angeleyes, and all the wires and install info. for around $350 which is a little more than i was expecting to pay but its cheaper than custom headlights

highcotton2003 05-07-2013 10:36 AM

this is the one that im talking about it looks simple enough to do in a weekend with out any trouble http://www.theretrofitsource.com/ima...0Kit-1860l.jpg
