Map lights for 2004 Tacoma Double Cab 4X4

Can anyone help a new member: Would like to replace the 2 map lights located on either side of the rear view mirror. How do I get acess to them? I do not want to damage the assembly. Also, do you know what type/size the lights are?

has some good ones for the map lights. I replaced mine and my dome light. I used the 5k white 1w hp in the maps and wish I'd done the same in the dome. used the 5k white 6led in dome. The 1w hp is much brighter.

Very easy to change. If I remember correctly I popped the plastic case off from the back using a screwdriver and then its an easy replacement of bulb and case. Wife hates it, says its too bright.

Thanks for the info.... I have the dome off and am waiting for my three each 1W LED's to arrive from Tiawan or Japan. Paid only $4.50 for all 3 off ebay with only $3.50 in shipping. How do you get to the map lights by the rear view mirror?

Pretty sure I took a small screwdriver and popped the cover loose from the backside of it up towards the mirror base.

Hunterwojo - what size did u get for the map lights? I've got a 3175 coming for the dome light but dont know what to get for the maps.

 

Im pretty sure they take the same bulb. atleast mine do..

EverTaco is correct. I went on line and found that the 3175 and 3021/3022's are all the same. I then went ot ebay and got a 1W LED from a Japan company for only $4.50 for all three with only 3.20 shipping. I did some research and found they are the brightest. I also went on ebay and got 4 LED bright white dash lights for only $7.00 with free shipping from Tiawan..

Got them in and installed. They look great!!! Can't wait till the LED 194s arrive to get the dash rolling
