You get what you pay for.

However, if you jump that high you take risks that can lead to major carnage regardless of whose kit you run. At least he had that cage and was able to walk away.

Engage says their stuff is 4130, but from that it looks like mild steel.

They should have used .250 and wrap it over with .120 on to the arms

Thats a very sad story. It was a beautiful build and I hope it wasn't caused by poor craftsmanship. Looking more and more at other LT kits. That looks pretty brittle and weak. Seams like it couldn't take too much abuse.

I hope and wish the rebuild of that Taco.

    To much to list!
I think its .120 when I looked at mine in the past. I always thought it was thin but it was my first LT kit and didn't know better. If it was .095 it would make for a weird sized bushing. The rip looks to much like a straight line for it was DOM or 100% 4130 like they advertise. It would have ripped in a more random form I think. I could be totally wrong. Only time will tell once Daniel gets his truck pulled apart.

Not bash Engage cause there the subject right now. But for your 08, Camburg and TC make an awesome race proven designs. I know TC uses .250 on there bushing sleeve and Camburg uses uniballs or anti-wobbles in there lower arm which is nice cause you dont have to worry about destroying bushings do to the alignment cams.

I talk to Daniel on Facebook for a second. Hes planning to rebuild but it will no longer be daily driver. He's thinking full center pivot or j-arm. But I know on dezertrangers they were talking about putting the frame on a frame jig to check for straightness..

Your post kind of got lost in the shuffle but great work man. Are you going to use a vertical or horizontal uni ball on the upper arm??
