how much does the lower shock mount come in to play when switching from 8s in the stock bucket to 10s mounted to an engine cage?

checked out the kibbetech truck at the offraod expo.
his rear end it pretty simple just a bed cage, bypasses, boxed in frame, c notched the frame, flipped over spring axle... any one know if this would work on a 1st gen tacoma? i dont see why it wouldnt?
i really like the slammed look it has.

LOL, I'd put my hooptie up against that $14K tundra in the dirt any day of the week once mine is back on the ground! HAHAHA, $14K??? To me that's over priced personally. Mine is officially not for sale anymore. It's getting new spindles, new upper arms, front frame rails plated, upper arm mounts cut off and redone, center console installed finally too and then shock valving... The testing area in Jean I run at are whoops that are easily two truck lengths apart knee to hip deep. I'm shooting for 80-90mph thru them by late Nov/early Dec.

    yes

The spot with the gate that's typically closed and you have to open and run thru? I'm not talking night ranch road near the lake bed...

I can already run 60-65 thru them as my truck sits right now this moment and it's not the trucks handling or power holding me up from going faster. As it sits right now, I typically am only using about 1" of my front bumps and I'm barely touching my rear bumps at all. I'm holding up just for piece of mind cause I don't have confidence in my current front spindles. Just upgrading my spindles with NO other changes I'm sure I could run 70-75 as it sits right now with piece of mind I'm not going to rip off a front tire. Then if I actually put any effort into my shock tuning (speed up rear rebound and heavily increase the front compression) I'm sure I can pull another 10mph or so out of it.

I cut my fendes out of the way and just left it (yes i know i dont have fiberglass) if you where going to glass it back in, i would try to add a piece of dowel and glass that into the fender, it would give it that rounded edge back and add some support.

My dad did this with the dowel when he turned his fiberglass lift off hood into a fiberglass hood on hinges, its worked great thus far

again I'd cut and call it a day tho
