So true. Suspension, body work, interior pieces will all get tossed during your build. I wouldn't even be concerned about paint because you will be painting hood, and fenders F/R. All the fab work will destroy a pristine paint job too. The heat, shop dust, and welding slag gets everywhere..

the only thing I didn't take into account was to be able to get a bolt into those plates for the bypass since there's going to be a tube on either side almost right in line with that hole. Not too worried about it since I can probably sleeve each that tube to get a boat through there, but for you cutting those plates off of a hand sketch and 0 measurements, they are just about perfect lol

Are there any differences between 2008/09 and 2014? What year did they add the new head unit ?

I posted this under long travel suspension by mistake :

I have a mid travel set up but figured you guys have far more experience with extended brake lines since you must do it for LT. I ordered extended stainless hoses and when I was looking at the set up in the front yesterday I was wondering if the routing and number of connections could be simplified. iE: stock the truck has a hard line to an "L" on top of the frame then hard line from the "L" for 8-10" then goes to rubber hose then back to a short hard line at the caliper. I was wondering if I could eliminate all the crap in the middle and just run a stainless line from the "L" at the top of the frame straight to the caliper ...would eliminate a few connections and look a hell of a lot cleaner. Anyone done this ? Or do you lose too much pressure ?

    Question for you guys...

With the TC 3.5" kit for 2nd gen, what's a good bumpstop to go with without going hydraulic? I'm going to do King 2.0's down the line, but it's not in the budget with the kit and axles and everything as of right now. Will a solid bumpstop be ok for the time being? I'm just so tired of the stock ones up front with mid travel, and I'd like to do a little upgrade until I can get the Kings.

    Thanks dudes

Mentioned in another thread, but I checked with TC last week on the phone and they said you can run a hydro bump if you're not running bypasses.

Anthony, I got 8" Kings (2 months old) off a Ranger that was valved for a 2nd gen Taco. Just going to put a heavier spring on it and change the tophats. Confirmed with King that it will work just the same.

Guess I'm ordering Super Bumps this week too.

A properly valved secondary/bypass can be used without needing a bump

Did they mean run a hydro without a strike pad? Doesn't sound right.. Or can you add a strike pad as an option?
