The schtick with foam is that if the fuel cell ruptures the foam works like a sponge and fuel won't go spraying. It also keeps the fuel from sloshing. If you are just running just a metal can you should at least run foam, and for sure roll over valves in every port. Quality foam can be had, but it's not cheap, about $85 per cubic foot. It's always a good idea to clean it well before installation- http://www.fuelsafe.com/store/foam-baffling/safety-foam-baffling-block-fb12.html

This is how I did it-

I'll do something eventually, just not today. I would rather get the fuel system figured out and the truck in general back on all 4 and driving again before I start worrying about detail work. Its been 7 months now since I've driven it and it will be awhile before this thing really gets driven hard. I will likely end up running the fuelsafe foam since it doesnt rot quite as quickly and trim out an area for the float to cycle. I've already thought through all this, I'm still going to look into the whiffle ball option as well. I'm thinking my only option there will be building some kind of screen/shield around the float to keep it clear but still allow the fuel to flow through. All that being said tho, of all the trucks I go out usually with only 1 is running any kind of foam in his cell and so far he is the only person to have fuel flow issues, probably cheap foam thats clogging the filter but that's what I'm trying to avoid.

Do you have any other pictures of how you routed the tubing around the wiper motor or did you relocate it?

You don't have to relocate the motor. There is tons of room if you go through the triangle left behind when you cut out the inner fenders. Structurally, the cab is made to take a hit right there anyway, so it is an ideal location.
    From in the cab-

I have a pair of King 3" by 16" by 700lbs springs, literally less than 500 miles on them. Looking for $150, or trade for 3" by 18" by 600lbs. A couple scuffs on the powdercoat, which is why I can't exchange them at King. Located in OC.

Finally bought a lathe and I already don't know what I'd do without it.

Haven't even started on that truck yet, I'm working on a friends little early 90's 2wd pickup, converting a TC BJ kit to a Uniball kit with a lift spindle, working on the steering right now, then I have to finish up the shock hoops and some other little stuff.

He's getting me a cab and some oem parts for the project truck the 3.4 is going in so that's why I took on side work, that and he's a cool guy and his truck is rad. It has a sweet little LC engineering 22re in it.

Then I have to do some work on my 4runner to maybe make it down to the 1000 next week, probably not gonna happen.

Does anybody have a spare passenger side 05+ 4x4 spindle/knuckle that they are willing to sell? I'll buy both sides if you're not willing to sell them separate. Mine might have been bent slightly and I'm hoping another one will fix my alignment.

A Few more pics of this for you guys, not pictured are the custom gasket and the flap under the filler neck. We will be selling these as a kit with a cut template, gasket, all 3 pieces, single filler neck and I believe all Grade 8 hardware for $350. I need 5 commitments to do a production run.
