SRA=stress relieved and annealled. There should be a 4 digit number there too, and it's probably 1018 or 1026. If it is, then that's what you are looking for and is "score legal". 4130 is the good stuff, but it's cost prohibitive at our level and technically requires a huge oven to stress relieve, although most ignore that.

Sweet. If the price is pretty close, call and ask if it's USA DOM (it will be marked on the metal) or if it's from India. The USA stuff is almost twice as strong. The foreign foundries use a lot less carbon than we do or something, and you can tell when you put it in a bender. It bends like poop pipe. I'm not saying it's bad or unsafe, just that USA metal is significantly stronger for about the same coin. You can find it at Patton's in Hesperia pretty often.

99% of steel is from India, it's all put to the same tests per batch. Don't sweat it

Oh and id recommend only doing the main tubes with 2"

So its the same strength? What tubes need to be 2'' to be score legal?

its not the score book (that costs money) but should get you in the general ball park design wise, though i wouldnt build it till having the rules in front of me

So I've got my lt narrowed down to two kits, either lsk or solo motorsports. I called lsk a few days ago and am still waiting to hear back from them. But holy shit that solo kit is out fucking standing, those hubs are what really appeal to me but $6800 before shocks, bumps, and bypasses?? The WIY shock hoops alone are 700. I'm new to the long travel game but I have plenty of fab and welding skills to install the kit myself and I don't see why I couldn't build my own hoop. Maybe someone here has some knowledge for me?? I'd rather spend the extra $ and do it once right, but I might be rockin a stock rear for a while if I do lol

It's an expensive rabbit hole to go enter. I'm sure you could fab the whole kit by yourself. Do you have the time?

What are you doing for the rear end?

The solo kit is a waste of money unless you're going to build the rear end to be able to keep up with it. Which realistically means linking it.

if you build your own shock hoops and dont upgrade to the boxed upper arm the solo kit is "only" $5300

for perspective a camburg kit with axles and parts that are included with the solo kit like heim steering; will set you back about $4400

That's what was I was thinking. I feel the extra 1000+ is worth it for those hubs
