Opening an off-road shop, almost ready to official open it. I'll also sell everything online.

on the 4th gen 4runner OEM shocks there are 3 bleed holes on the pistons and all 3 are open, and what do you mean by OOTB valving?

    Thanks

Need some more info on this, whats the corner weight on the truck? Also how much shock shaft you want to be showing at ride height? I know your shocks are right before the axle but need a bit more info. Also how much weight do you have on your bed?

    ...too much shit to list.
I had the same problem, settled about 2.5" since original install.

.260" thick x 55" long, arched to the moon.
Leaf is placed right below the the triple main leafs
More details on what I did to the pack can be seen here:

So my bed is pretty much destroyed after superstition...I was thinking of ditching the bed and doing like 3/16 or 1/8 ? Aluminum plating and making a bed so it's not just open. Or should I just swap in a new bed?

    Thoughts/ ideas ?

The guy before me did some redneck shit and put like stacks of 100 washers under the bed to clear a fuel cell between the frames..so the bedsides move a ton and then the bed cracked really bad and caved in a few inches from the spare...also ripped my rear bumper right off the frame lol

you can get metal sheets that are the same shape as the bed (kind of corrugated) and make a bed out of that... or we can just weld the crack together and hammer slam the bed back into shape, then fry up a sweet new bumper. maybe chop the bedcage and move the shocks outside the frame like you were talking about wanting to do as well.. i think you'll regret ditching the bed completely and building a whole new one will be tricky to balance weight and strength without pre-formed metal

    hahahahahhhaahaa
buys kits... has them installed with flux welder... goes offroading twice.... opens offroad shop

    sounds legit

having the shock on the back of the axle is only going to exacerbate wrap... when the axle rises, pressure on the axle is on the back, pushing the pinion higher before the shock even has time to work. all the resistance is on the back of the axle, twisting it against the leafs and causing axle wrap. i bet moving the mounts to the front of the axle would make a big difference... but not as big of a difference as links would ;)
landon and i still have our full beds too! and stock gas tanks
forgot to mention under acceleration its even worse with the shocks off the back of the axle because of the twist of the wheels under traction

A ben made from 1/8 aluminum would barely be heavier then stock. But it would be expensive as fuck. Even 14" wouldn't be that bad. And is what I'd do cause 1/4" flexes enough as it is.

didn't realize he was talking about alum
we only have a mig machine between us so i didn't even consider it
but holy shit enough 1/4 to make a bed you might as well buy a brand new one haha

I realized the stock bed sticks out a lot further than the frame so it would kind of look strange...also swapping in a new bed would suck because I would have to cut the bedcage and stuff off

I'm trying to think of a way to run the shocks outside the frame but not have to run a tube across the shock towers...would make loading bikes much easier...already have shock tabs on the axle for outside the frame and I have room to do it

instead of going across, tie them into the tube that runs across closest to the cab. loses a little bit of corner room but not bad. or just make it like mine, with only one tube across but plenty to the frame. links put a lot more force on the bedcage than smoothies do and it works fine.
