I would say brighter. Lumens- 10,800, is quite a bit. Your HID's are probably somewhere upwards of 3000.

those LEDs in person are really a headache...

 

hid's light farther than led's. off road mag had a comparison between the halogen, hid and led. Led great for close range but they said hid best overall.

 

i am sure they are always working on something, maybe working with the reflector's or something. who knows what will be next.

 

Yea they do. In the video Mike posted of the MDR, that first black truck that races by sounds amazing.

 

So I found out we can get a 22" for $395.25 cuz DR peeps get a discount.

is there sales tax for cali residents? if so, the tax would kill the sale..

Mike if Engage wants to run them on the race truck I saw in that thread that Dark knight (Sp) Gave a HUGE racer discount on their LED lights bars. That might be another option also.

 

The Engage driver, Jerry Allen, owns kingofhid.com so we would likely stick to running HID conversion lights..

Speaking of lights I want to go to the bigger Solteks. Anybody want 5 Soltek Fuego HIDs mounted and wired on a lightbar?

 

the 8" solteks are nice. even the standard halogen spot beams are super bright and have an amazing range

 

Ok so I have an ARB sitting in my apartment but was curious about your guys input. Currently I am open diff and I wanted to get an idea what the best traction adder for desert running while still being able to do some relatively rocky/articulate trails?

I was thinking of selling the ARB and going with a Powertrax no-slip...what are your guys thoughts? Then if I sell and buy the Powertrax I can afford to install it and also regear the rear.
