why would you do that? are you getting longer shackles too? because you are just wasting your money if you build a cage and mount everything like a stock truck would be.

but to answer your question. it depends on what its made out of and if you want a simple cage or a fully tricked out one. for just the steel you're looking are like $150 - $600 depending on what you want to do and if you use DOM, 4130, or HREW and what thickness. 14" smooth bodies are hard to find used from what I have seen. everyone tends to use a 16". those will be like $400 - $750 and then your leaf pack. then you need mounting tabs for everything and someone to bend and weld all of the tube if you can't do it yourself.

So you are going to make a new rear mount and go a shackle flip with a longer shackle? and the shock length depends on how high your bed cage is and how much travel you are getting out of the rear. Talk to Mohawk Mike. I know he is running something sorta like you are talking about except he has his shocks in the stock mounting point so no bed cage.

Why? Mid travel front and a caged rear end rocks. I have a shit load of fun with mine. Just get some Camburg spindles so you don't brake down and you'll be in good shape.

I found those guys about five months ago. That spindle of there's for the 05+ 6lug has been in testing forever. I called them a couple times and they kept saying it was almost ready. That was a couple months ago. Everything else they have looks cool though.

 

Looks likes some $$$$$ right there!

Ive talked those guys at solo seem pretty cool.

They really did a good job on the rear set up on that Tacoma, I am very impressed!
