i got a set of 14in foa because they were two for the price of one. i just today installed allpro expo leafs if i need to cut the cage a little shorter to fit the shocks thats fine. things i dont kno what i will need are what type of shock mounts and the angle at which i need to place the shocks as i see the stock ones are one forward one back. i see some people having the shocks come out between the wheel whales closest to the cab and im keeping the stock gas tank for now so have to keep that in mind im looking to keep it a 4x4 and use it as a slight prerunner.

Here is how I have mine set up. Off the rear of the axle to help protect them from rocks, and with the suspension stuffed at full bump they are perfectly vertical. You have to cycle the suspension to know exactly where things will end up. You are kind of doing it backward, but that's ok. Beds are cheap, you could always get one from a junkyard if you are worried about chopping up a nice one. Mounts- http://store.sdhqoffroad.com/synergysuspensionuniversalshockmount-parallelbolt.aspx

If there cheap and easy to come by I dont mind cutting it. Ya thats what I heard from a friend after installing them. Is there a way to get it to full bump without the leafs removed. Maybe a tie down between the axle and frame

Pulled the trigger on a Rogue Bender, found a hydraulic power pack local to me for $100.

It was part of a manufacturing line, complete with a programmable logic controller, motor mag starter, relays, solenoid valves, all sorts of hydraulic valves.. Hell the Baldor motor alone is worth more than what I paid.

Not sure if I'll sell the components I don't use on eBay - shit, the 3-3000 PSI pressure switch is worth $500 alone. Of course, it's finding a buyer for everything.

Pump and motor check out - pump is 2650 PSI continuous, 3000 PSI intermittent - 1.5 GPM @ 1725 RPM (what I'll be running the motor at).

    Bender should be here tomorrow.

Then it's on to ram shopping!

Typical skids are 3/16", and heavy duty ones are 1/4". Both will dent if you hit them hard enough. I'd say go with 3/16.

Since your probably going with an aluminum skid and your not going to be smashing it on rocks I would go with 3/16.

Yeah going aluminum, deff not smashing it on rocks but maybe in the dez  . Looks like 3/16 is the most popular.

Didn't think about it being aluminum. So this will be the lawn dart protection skid, right? :D

I would also suggest UHMW. Get a sheet of the reprocessed stuff as it's black in color. A 1/2" sheet of UHMW is going to wear better than the aluminum or steel and be just as strong.

Hey guys, im going to get a bumper in the future from 4xinnovations and he doesn't have the mounts fabbed up for my truck yet. What thickness of steel would you recommend for a winch bumper that the d ring mounts will be used a lot. I was thinking 3/8 maybe? Might even put a few gussets in the bumper if I dont like how strong it looks.

You mean the bumper itself or the mount? I used 3/16 for the bumper, 1/4 for the mount and 1x2 for the shackles.

The shackle mounts are gusseted and welded to the bumper and to the mounting point.
