I was curious to see if any one has swap out a stock taco axle. to a T100 or Tundra. Wondering how easy it is to on. Im also guessing it has to be off a 3.4 liter engine if off a Tundra/T100. So if any one can help or if there ia already a thread for this

    To much to list!
The yoke will bolt right up to the drive shaft since the tundra/t100 use the same 3rd member as the 95.5-04 4x4/prerunner tacomas. The spring perches are in the wrong locations and will have to be cut off and moved. If i remember correctly they are on the bottom of the axle where on the stock setup they are on top. If you are doing a LT setup you want them on the bottom as well.

If you can LT SUA a Tacoma axle, you can LT SUA a Tundra/T100 axle. The spring mounts and axle mounts have to be moved anyway, as well as cycle the leafs to figure out shock mounts. Using a wider axle housing while doing the fab process isn't really going to make a big difference. Brake line bolts up, ABS(if applicable) clips right in and E-Brake will work too w/so minor mods.

*Direct Bolt-On Exception: My truck is a 2004 TRD. So the stock pinions have a higher spline count then prior year Tacoma's (27 teeth vs 33 teeth, I think, I could be wrong). I used a 2006 TRD w/LSD axle for my LT, which I re geared prior to installing it. After market ring and pinon gear sets have the spline count of the older year Tacoma/Tundra so I had to buy an older Tacoma drive shaft yoke. Easy fix :D

Just keep in mind that the tundra axle is 3" wider per side, plus different wheels and tires can put you pretty far out. My tires sit about 5" wider per side over stock. Just make sure you get the right bedsides if you need to cover the tire tread with your fender where you live. I have 7" flares and they just cover.

This. It's much wider. And people generally d it match the 3.5" wider stance of LT setups...but if your just doing mid travel..what's the point??

Well this was last year and Since i recently bought Solo spindles I'm just gonna MT then work on LT for the rear. But I still do plan on full LT. But I still have to do gusseting and boxing the frame. And the axle is just an idea to have more bed space by running the shocks outside the frame. Just for my bikes

How would this be for a double cab, I'm looking at a good deal right now, but don't know if I will be able to find fenders to clear it.

Here was my setup with a Tundra axle and Glassworks 6" glass. It is not listed on their website from what I remember but they do have a mold and make them.

No worries. I can't remember for sure if they called it 6" or 7" but just give them a call. Much better than email to get ahold of them

I am running the Giant Motorsports 64" Deaver kit. Best rear suspension hands down without going to a link setup. It requires a Tundra axle or wider to run it on 1st gens.

Still running them with the new custom rear end
