    It needs to see the canister in the vehicle. The pump and vapor pressure sensor are in the canister and are what run the monitor

    Just reset the cel before you bring it in. It takes ur obd 60 miles to register error codes after resetting

    Tacoma with some stuff melted to it
    ^That usually wont work either. The system has to be "ready" and it will usually show that there are pending codes as well

    Couple shocks, some old tires, and a bad paint job
    Well if you really want it to pass, then you have to hook up all the EVAP parts to the cell/motor AND you must have the stock filler hose to basically take it back to stock. The other thing you have to find is a tech that won't mind letting you pass the visual inspection.
